Extra Charges (not limited)

    1. Fuel Surcharge:
      All rates are subject to applicable surcharges.

       

    2. Waiting Time:​ $85/hour  LTL shipment – Free time maximum half (1/2) hour Full Load – Free time maximum two (2) hours.
       

    3. Second Delivery: Should a second delivery be required as a result of the consignees’ refusal or inability to accept freight as scheduled, this will be charged at the applicable rate.
       

    4. Storage: Storage charges will begin 12 hours after notice is provided.
       

    5. Stop-off: Except as otherwise provided on shipments stopped to partially load or complete loading or for partial unloading, exclusive of initial pickup stop or final delivery stop, there will be a charge of $150.00 per stop in addition to agreed charges.

    6. Cancellation: All cancellation must be notified to corresponding dispatcher 24 hours before. If not, this will be subject to dead-call charge.

    7. Layover: Layover charges will be applied if deliveries are beyond regular transit dates. The discretion will be on the dispatcher to include weekend or not.

Conditions

  1. Rate proposals are subject to acceptance within 30 days, activated proposals are subject to review after 90 days and KTX can adjust the rates if volumes vary from information given.
     

  2. Rates are subject to renewal one (1) year from date of acceptance (unless otherwise specified in writing, continued application of rates is conditional on the account being in good standing at all times.)
     

  3. Full Load rates are based upon shipper’s load and count and a maximum weight of 44,000 lbs., unless otherwise specified in writing.
     

  4. KTX does not warrant or guarantee that load will be picked up or delivered within the time and date that client has with the shippers and/or consignees. KTX will not, under any circumstances, be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, special and/or consequential damages (demurrages, lost profits, costs of software services) whether expressed or implied.
     

  5. Pallet rates based on a maximum weight of 2000 lbs per pallet.
     

  6. All shipments are subject to applicable taxes (GST/ QST / HST) and they are not included in rate quotations. 
     

  7. All shipments require a proper bill of lading with all pertinent information (i.e. shipper’s and consignee’s full name, address, phone numbers, prepaid/collect or third party billing, numbers of pieces-skid/carton/crate/etc., total weight and/or cube, appointment time, and any special delivery instructions).
     

  8. KTX or other partner transporters are not obligated for misfortune, harm or deficiency of any products conveyed under the bill of lading except in cases where notice of damage is obviously showed on the bill of filling at the hour of conveyance. The statement of document must be documented within 7 days for any damages. A duplicate of the covered cargo tab must go with the case. Compensation is restricted to $2.00 per pound. KTX Transport or other partner transporters are not liable for noteworthy misfortune or fine because of consquential loss /fine as a result of delay in delivery or non-compliance of consignee's procedures. 
     

  9. The carrier shall not be liable for loss, damage, or delay to any of the goods described in the Bill of Lading (Waybill) caused by an act of God, the Queen’s or public enemies, riots, strikes, a defect or inherent vice in the goods, an act or default of the shipper, owner or consignee, authority of law, quarantine or the goods not being in the actual custody or under the actual control of the carrier.
